Viral Meme From Pakistan Sold For $51000 In Bidding

Pakistanis are quite popular on the internet for their humor. The memes from Pakistan keep going viral on the internet very often. Their viral meme and videos are appreciated in India as well. And now, they are also getting benefits from it.

A few years ago, an image from Pakistan went viral on the internet. It was an unique way of breaking up with your friend. The message read, “Mudasir se friendship over”. It has been used in the form of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) for about $51,000.

A London Startup The Viral Meme

Its price was paid in 20 Ethereum cryptocurrency by a London-based startup, whose current value is about 51.7 thousand dollars. In 2015, a person named Asif Raza Rana of Gujranwala posted this viral meme on Facebook.  Apparently, he created it using Photoshop.

In the caption, Rana told that he has ended his friendship with Mudasir. Now Salman is her best friend. He posted photos of all three, but put a green cross on Mudasir’s photo. Rana also put up a warning that those who show him ‘Attitude’, he keeps them under his feet.

After that, the image went viral in many parts of the world including South Asia. The announcement-turned-meme has now been auctioned on Foundation, the world’s largest platform for NFT listings. And now the Startup claims that the life of its creators is about to change. They bought it and then put it up for online auction in the form of NFT. Meanwhile, the Viral Meme now has a whopping 47,000 likes, 27,000 comments and 56,000 shares.

However, Rana told that Mudasir is still his friend. They also meet very often. On the sale of the meme, he has thanked the bidders in the auction. Rana did a Live on Facebook to thank all the bidders.
