There is news of relief for Indian citizens going to Britain. Britain has finally removed India from the red list and included it in the ‘Amber’ list. Britain gave this relaxation in the Corona advisory. The new rules will be effective from August 8.
While India was in the red list, Indian travelers had to stay in the hotel for 10 days. However, as an Amber list country, Indian travelers can stay at home for 10 days.
Apart from India, Britain has also include UAE, Qatar and Bahrain in the Amber list. Britain’s Transport Secretary has given this information by tweeting. The Secretary of Transport said this is great news for anyone looking to connect with families, friends and businesses around the world. At the same time, he thanked the health workers for the successful home vaccination programme.
New Guidelines for Amber List
Under legal regulations for Amber Listed countries, passengers must undergo a corona test three days prior to departure. They also have to book in advance for two COVID tests upon arrival in the UK. Passengers must also complete a passenger locator form upon arrival.
Upon arrival in the UK, travelers will have to be in quarantine at home or at a place they have already confirmed as their location for 10 days. After this, on or before the second day and on or after the eighth day, they will have to undergo corona test.
