Tokyo hosted Paralympic Games has now reached its end. Meanwhile, India has performed really well in the Tokyo Paralympics 2021. This time the Paralympics has become memorable in many ways. India has broken its all-time record in the games. India has performed historically well in terms of the number of medals.
In the Paralympics 2021, India has got 17 medals including four gold medals in 11 days. Earlier, India had won a total of 12 medals in all Paralympic Games.
Indian players performance shines on the 11th day
First, It was Manish Narwal and Singhraj Adhana who won medals in shooting. Manish Narwal bagged the gold medal, while Singhraj Adhana won the silver.
After this, when the day was ending, Pramod Bhagat won the gold in Badminton. Further, Manoj Sarkar won the bronze medal in badminton. As a result, India’s position in the medal tally improves.
India at 26th position in the medal table
India has now reached the 26th position in the medal tally. So far, India has won eight medals in athletics, two in badminton.
Indian shooters also bagged five medals, one in table tennis, and one in archery. With this, India now has four gold, seven silver, and six bronze.
China topped the tally with 200 medals (93 gold, 57 silver, and 50 bronze). Great Britain (41 gold, 38 silver, and 43 bronze, totaling 122 medals) was in second place.
The Russian Paralympic Committee (36 gold, 32 silver, and 49 bronze, totaling 117 medals) was in third place, respectively.
