This Indian-American Lawmaker is Trying To Manage Vaccines for India From the Biden Administration

The world knows how the second wave of the COVID-19 crisis has wreaked havoc in India. Also the mismanagement of the government has led to severe shortage of medicines and vaccines across the country. So, India requires vaccines from other countries including the US on an urgent basis.

On Sunday, Raja Krishnamurthy, an Indian-American lawmaker reported this to the media. Moreover, he is trying to provide additional doses of vaccines to India. Krishnamurthy wants the vaccines that are not being used in the United States. For this, he has also requested the Biden administration, which is also battling the COVID-19 crisis.

Further, Raja Krishnamurthy also updated that Union of Indian Universities, and Harvard University of America organized a webinar. Moreover, he said that “I have appealed to the US President to provide us part of our eight crore additional doses”. He responded positively, but now I am proposing even bigger.

He also said that the US president will support the American program of vaccination of 60 percent of the world’s population. It is very important to ensure that communities in India and other countries develop disease-resistant capabilities.

The Indian-American lawmaker said, “We should support this program and help everyone everywhere, because if Corona lives anywhere, then it is a danger to everyone.”
