The channel gets 7 Billion views a month and It is the most-watched YouTube channel in the United States and second most-watched channel worldwide. Recently, the channel was acquired by London based media company Moonbug.

“Cocomelon – nursery rhymes” is more popular on YouTube than Taylor Swift, Netflix and ESPN combined. According to a report on Bloomberg, Cocomelon may become the first billion-dollar youtube business. Recently, Cocomelon became the first YouTube channel ever to surpass 1 billion views in a week.

Several attempts have been made to trace the creators of this YouTube channel. In February 2020, Bloomberg Businessweek identified a 55-Year-old couple as creators of the channel. Jeon and his wife are from South Korea, and They moved to the USA in the mid-1990s. The couple used to write children books. Initially, they made nursery rhymes videos for their sons. However, their friends suggested them to upload the videos on YouTube.

Cocomelon’s most popular video, a Baby Shark Song (“Wash my hair, doo doo doo doo doo doo”), has been viewed more than 2.3 billion times.
