Samyukt Kisan Morcha Suspends Two Farmers’ Organizations for Republic Day Violence

The Samyukta Kisan Morcha has taken a big decision regarding the unfortunate incidents at the Republic Day tractor parade. The Samyukta Kisan Morcha has suspended two organizations responsible for route-changing. The Morcha has also formed a committee to investigate them.

After the committee submits report, the Morcha will decide if the officials of both organizations were lost or had changed the route intentionally. At the same time, the leaders of the Morcha also clarified that the spokesperson of BKU, Rakesh Tikait, changed the strategy of the movement without talking to the Morcha. Tikait had decided not to block the movement in UP and Uttarakhand.

On Saturday evening, instead of 32 farmers’ organizations, officials of only the 14 organizations met at the Kundali border. After this, Ruldu Singh Mansa of Punjab Kisan Union, Darshan Pal of BKU Krantikal, Raghuveer Singh of Jamahuri Kisan and others talked about the success of Chakka Jam. They also discussed the next strategy of the movement.

Farmer leaders said that morcha has suspended Surjit Singh Phool, president of the BKU revolutionary Surjit Phool faction. They have also suspended Harpal Singh Sanga of Azad Kisan Committee. Ruldu Singh Mansa told that the committee is investigating against all the people who changed route during the parade.

BKU spokesperson Rakesh Tikait took the decision to not to block traffic in UP and Uttarakhand. Tikait took the decision that due to the possibility of violence in both those states. But it is certain that the strategy should have changed after talks with the Kisan Morcha. Because they feel thatTikait took this decision in a hurry.
