Planned Conspiracy to link Sikhs with Lord Ram

The systematic way in which a one ideology is trying to consume all other ideologies in India is a matter of great concern.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mention of the tenth Guru of the Sikhs, Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, to strengthen his cause for the Bhoomi Pujan of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya on August 5, lead to a wave of outrage among the Sikh community.

Bhai Ranjit Singh Dhadrian wale, a preacher of Sikhism, said that in his speech Modi said that Guru Gobind Singh Ji had written ‘Gobind Ramayana’. While Iqbal Singh, former Jathedar of Takht Shri Patna Sahib said that Guru Nanak Dev Ji and Guru Gobind Singh Ji are descendants of Lord Ram.

While raising the issue, Bhai Ranjit Singh asked Giani Harpreet Singh, Jathedar, Shri Akal Takht Sahib to clarify whether the statements of Modi and Jathedar Iqbal Singh were true or false. He Said that Jathedar Iqbal Singh says our Guru Sahiban was a descendant of Luv and Kush, sons of Lord Ram. It is written in our Dasam Granth.

Bhai Ranjit Singh said that we have always been told that Sikhs are a separate community. While now, Sikhs are said to be the descendants of Luv and Kush.

In this regard, former MLA and journalist Jarnail Singh have said that Guru Gobind Singh did not write any Ramayana.

Actually, Ramavatar is a commentary on popular Ramayana. Guru Sahib made it clear by writing, “पांए गहे जब ते तुमरे तब ते कोऊ आंख तरे नहीं आनयो’ , ‘राम रहीम पुरान कुरान अनेक कहैं मत एक न मानयो” There should not be any confusion after this.

In Gurbani, the name Ram is mentioned as a popular god. Guru Nanak Sahib utilised popular mythology to connect mankind with one God.

The spiritual essence of the Ram-Ravan war is that Ram killed Ravan and his ego. While the lesson given by the Guru is about Vibhishana telling the secret of his brother to Ram,

“रामचंद मारयो अहि रावण, भेद विभीखण गुरमुखि परचायण”

For Guru Sahib, Ram killing Ravan was not a big thing.

“अंधुले दहसिरि मूंडु कटाया रावणु मारि किआ बड़ा भया”

The master and creator of the universe, the one who is creating, nourishing and destroying does not become great by killing Ravan.

The Asa Di Var says, “नानक निरभउ निरंकारु होरि केते राम रवाल।” – Nirbhau Nirankar is the supreme God and many like Ram are like dust in front of him.

The word Ram who has been used in Gurbani is to connect people with the Nirankar god. Guru Arjun Dev ji clarifies that “श्री रामचंद जिस रूप न रेखया’, meaning the Ram has no form or colour.

Kabir Sahib also says that while chanting Rama one must keep in mind that it is the omnipresent Ram, not the one who was born and then died – “कबीर रामै राम कहहु कहबि माहि बिबेक एक अनेकहि मिल गया एक समाना एक राम कहन महि भेद है ता महि एक बिचार सोई राम सभै कहहि सोई कउतकहार।”

Thus, the Ram mentioned here is not the Ram in human form. But it refers to the creator of all.

RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat often says that all those who live in India are Hindus. He forgets that people of all religions live in India. His statement can create tension in the country. Now the Prime Minister has hurt the sentiments of Sikhs by saying that the background of Sikhism is Hinduism.

Why did Modi forget that he was there to lay the foundation stone of the Ram temple, not to hurt the sentiments of the Sikhs? If Modi believes that the background of Sikhs is related to the lineage of Lord Ram and Sikhs are also Hindus, then why there is no similarity between the mentality of Sikhs and Hindus?

While Sikhs are known to be a Combative, courageous and martial community, the same cannot be said about Hindus. If the lineage is the same, then everyone should have the same mindset and nature. The false propaganda being spread about Sikhs is baseless. The Jathedar of Shri Akal Takht Sahib should also give an explanation in this regard.
