Most Important Challenges Faced by India are Terrorism, Coronavirus and Economy says Vice President Naidu at SCO Summit


Vice President of India M Venkaiah Naidu addressed the 19th SCO Summit on Monday. He said that terrorism is the biggest challenge in our region. Appreciating India’s efforts against Corona, he said that the country has the lowest Covid-19 death rate in the world.

Venkaiah Naidu said, ‘Relations between India and the SCO region have developed seamlessly for thousands of years. India’s GDP is expected to reach five trillion by 2025. It will be the youngest country with an average age of 29 years. ‘

At the meeting, the Vice President said that the most important challenge facing us in the region is terrorism, especially terrorism from across the border. India condemns terrorism in all its manifestations. We are particularly concerned about the countries whose terrorists take advantage of through their policies.

Referring to India’s fight against Corona, Naidu said, “India has bravely fought the global pandemic and shown remarkable resilience in fighting the virus as well as ensuring economic stability.” Covid-19 mortality in India is one of the lowest in the world. India’s efforts have received global recognition.
