Senior Congress leader and Congress MP from Wayanad, Rahul Gandhi went to Kerala to strengthen his party before the Assembly Elections. Rahul said on Tuesday that he had become used to different kinds of politics in North India. Coming to Kerala is a new experience for him, because people here are more interested in issues.
Rahul Gandhi said at the conclusion of the ‘Aishwarya Yatra’. That he had learned a lot from the people of Kerala and understood the wisdom of people here. Ramesh Chennitla organized the Aishwarya Yatra under his leadership. Ramesh Chennitla is the Leader of Opposition from Congress in the Kerala Legislative Assembly.
Rahul said, “For the first 15 years I was an MP from North India. That’s why I got used to different kinds of politics. Coming to Kerala was a new experience for me. Because suddenly I saw that people here are more interested in the issues, not just for the sake of appearance but consider it deeply.”
Furthermore, Rahul Gandhi expressed, he likes going to Kerala, Wayanad very much. It is not just attachment. Certainly there is an attachment, but the way people do politics in Kerala. I feel a new experience. Moreover the Congress leader said, “The intelligence with which you do politics. It is a learning experience for me.”
Rahul Gandhi interacted with the protestors in front of Kerala Secretariat
Former National President of Congress and current MP from Waynad. Rahul Gandhi made an unplanned visit to Kerala Secretariat on Tuesday night. Rahul interacted with the PSC rank holder protestors there along with the workers of Youth Congress.
A number of PSC rank holders are on an indefinite protest from last 29 days against the current CPIM led LDF government of Kerala. The protestors are lying on roads, pretending to be dead bodies, expressing the dire consequences if their demands are not met. Whereas they have a number of demands like the creation of more last grade posts. However their primary demand is the extension of rank list. Rahul Gandhi lashed out at the state government and questioned the delay from Chief Minister’s end to initiate talks with the protestors.
Talks with the fishermen of Kerala on Wednesday morning
Subsequently Rahul interacted with the fishermen community of Kerala. At Thangassery Beach in Kollam. Rahul also took their questions and answered them. Moreover he assured the fishermen that Congress’s manifesto will be their manifesto. And that the Congress party is dedicated to work for the cause of fishermen community.
