Farmers set up “Delhi Morcha” to Conquer Delhi

Farmers organized a state level meeting of the Bharatiya Kisan Union (Ekta Ugrahan). In the meeting, they have formed a ‘Delhi Morcha’ to further strengthen the ongoing farmers movement against agricultural laws. They will stage protests to keep the agrarian movement alive in Punjab along with the strategy associated with the movement. The front includes seven farmer leaders.

BKU (Ekta Ugrahan) national general secretary Sukhdev Singh Kokari Kalan chaired the meeting . It was organized at Machhike in Moga. In the meeting, farmers have formed a Delhi Morcha Campaign Committee, Punjab for “Delhi Fateh”. In addition to Kokari Kalan, Jagatar Singh Kalazar, Saroj Dayalpura, Sukhjit Singh Kothaguru, Chamkaur Singh Nanwal, Jaswinder Singh Baras and Sunil Kumar Bhodipura have also joined the morcha.

Kokari Kalan, National GS of BKU, said that they will formulate the strategy of the protests against the farm laws in Delhi as well as Punjab after deliberations. They will hold protests  in 1500 villages of Punjab. The series of protests have started on Sunday. They will share the grief of the families of the farmers who gave their lives to the movement. These protests will continue till 23 December.

Then, on December 24, they will organize large gatherings at block level in Punjab to pay tribute to the martyrs.
