Am Air India Flight from Sydney had to return without passengers after a crew member tested Positive for COVID-19. After receiving the positive report of one of the Crew Member, the the Australian authorities took this decision. They stopped the passengers from boarding the plane and sent the empty plane back.
According to the information, the staff had already loaded some luggage into the plane. The Air India Official said that we do RT-PCR checks before each flight. We did similar test for all Crew Members on Saturday in Delhi . All the reports were negative.
Tested Positive in Test Done By Australian Authorities
Sources said that after arriving in Sydney on Sunday morning, Australian authorities also conducted an RT-PCR check of all the crew members. And the report for the same came on Monday. The report confirmed a member was COVID Positive. After that, Australian authorities did not allow the passengers to board the aircraft. The crew member who tested positive is in isolation in Sydney. Meanwhile, Australia has stopped the movement of all aircraft from India till 15 May in view of the increasing cases of COVID-19 in India.
