269 Doctors Including Former IMA President Succumbed To Second Wave of COVID

The Indian Medical Association (IMA) has released a shocking figure. According to the IMA, 269 doctors have died so far during the second wave of Corona in India. The IMA has released data for all states. However, the death toll of doctors in the second wave is still lower than the first wave. During the first wave of Corona, 748 doctors died.

According to the data released by the IMA, the state of Bihar has lost the maximum number of doctors in the country. A total of 78 doctors in Bihar succumbed to the second wave. Next on the list is Uttar Pradesh, where 37 doctors died during the second wave of Corona.

Meanwhile, 28 doctors in Delhi lost their lives during the second wave. In Andhra Pradesh, 22 doctors lost their lives. Also, in Maharashtra, which has the highest number of corona cases, 14 doctors succumbed to the second wave.

Former IMA President Dies

Padmashri Dr. KK Aggarwal (62), former National President of the Indian Medical Association and head of the Heart Care Foundation, died due to corona infection at around 11.30 pm on Monday night. He was admitted to the Trauma Center in AIIMS for the past several days. Three days earlier, doctors had to put him on ventilator support due to deteriorating health.

4329 Patients Died In Last 24 Hours

The daily deaths from Corona have broken all records so far. In the last 24 hours, 4329 people died in the country in front of this dangerous virus. The country also observed a steady decrease in infected cases. At the same time, the statistics of increasing deaths daily has created an atmosphere of panic among the health authorities. Not only this, more than 4.22 lakh people have recovered from Corona in the last 24 hours.
